in charting how do i used multiple datasets

I was hoping to use three datasets where each one resolved to a date and a number.
I thought I could use three series... assign each one to a different dataset...
but everytime I switch datasets... all the series switch to the one dataset.

If this is not possible then I must somehow join all three to a common dataset ???
I hope not...

Hi dbmuse,

Yes, making one dataSet is probably going to be your best bet. If you can do the joins in your query, it'll be faster than doing a joint dataSet in BIRT. You can always request an enhancement to future versions for charts to be able to take fields from multiple dataSets and see what they say.
