What should be the path of the image in rptdesign document
pulin
We are facing the problem of including the image in our rptdesign file. We are able to see the file in preview while developing. But we are not able to see the file when we deployed it on server.
We are using jsf4birt for integrating and are using jboss as server
We have tried following scenarios and none of them have worked.
1) We have kept the image file parallel to rptdesign file and has given the path as
logosmall.png
It wasn't able to find the path
2) We kept it inside images folder. and images folder is parallel to WEB-INF folder. And rptdesign file is parallel to images and WEB-INF folder.
and expression was
images/logosmall.png
and
/images/logosmall.png
In both the cases it didn't work
3) We tried the same scenarios inside WEB-INF folder and that also didn't work.
Please let us know if anyone of you have idea regarding that....

How are you specifying the image in the design? Is is a resource folder image or URL?
pulin
It's a resource folder image ...
This is also true for the css and properties files for I18N ...

If you are using the WebViewer there is a setting in the web.xml for setting the resource folder.
<context-param>
<param-name>BIRT_RESOURCE_PATH</param-name>
<param-value></param-value>
</context-param>
You can set it to be relative to the context. like myresources which would exist at the top level of the web app. If you put your image in that folder it should find it. If you are using the API when you set the EngineConfig there is a method for setting the resource folder.
config = new EngineConfig( );
config.setBIRTHome("C:\\birt\\birt-runtime-2_6_1\\birt-runtime-2_6_1\\ReportEngine");
config.setResourcePath("C:\\work\\workspaces\\APIs\\Reports");
This is not a relative path.
