Scheduled Job - Information Export
al91206
Hi,
We're looking to develop a report that shows us what jobs are currently scheduled and which users are in the distribution list. Is this a possibility? As we grow our number of scheduled reports this type of information becomes more important.
Running iServer 10 SP1 on Linux
Thanks!
Al in SoCal

Hi Al,
You can get all this information (and more) in Management Console. You can access it at:
http://<Your
Server>:8900/acadmin
Once there go to the Jobs tab and select the Schedules sub tab.

As always thanks for that info. Actually I know where to manually look for the information. We've been using iServer now for about 1.5 years - we know about the admin page. What we are looking for is a way to extract that info automatically. Is there any way to extract this data into a BIRT report - because as the number of jobs grow exponentially it's frustrating to have to go to the admin page and manually look at who the report is scheduled to go to w/o a report doing this for us.<br />
<br />
Thanks,<br />

You could use iServer Web Service to fetch this data and use it in your report.

This is good news - so now knowing this is a possibility a couple more questions. When you say 'web service' are you talking about IDAPI or something different? Also - is there any documentation about this?<br />
<br />
Thanks!<br />

Yes I am referring to IDAPI, you can see the wsdl associated with web services if you point your browser to
http://<server>:8000/wsdl
The api are also documented in the user manual "Using BIRT iServer Integration Technology"
