BIRT putting css classes forcefully on report
pulin
Hi All,
I've designed 2 separate reports in birt and integrating them into a single page through JSF. The work flow is, we have tab structure in web page where the reports are getting rendered. one tab contain single report and another tab club both the reports.
Now the problem is first report(in 1st tab) comes very nicely but in 2nd tab(contains second report+first report) is totally cluttered. Both are using the same style sheet which is being linked (not imported).
some of the elements are taking classes which are not applied to them.
PS : I can't attached screen shot here, forum's attach button is not woking i guess
Any help will be appreciated
Thanx
Hem

Hi Hem,
What is the file type you're trying to attach? Please try attaching the images again. It should work if they're .jpg at least. Also, could you attach the CSS file? What styles are getting applied incorrectly. How are the two reports joined?

Hi,<br />
<br />
Thanks here is the image in .jpg format. i have highlighted the image where the styles are applying incorrectly. we are including 2 reports in one jsf page like below. <br />
<br />
<div id="publicFilings"> <br />
<birt:birtWrapper reportDesign="/reports/premium/public_filings_summary.rptdesign"/><br />
<br/><br />
<birt:birtWrapper reportDesign="/reports/premium/public_filings.rptdesign"/> <br />
</div><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Also, BIRT create its own style like "style_1,_2 .." randomly with same name with different attributes,<br />
<br />
like style_1{font-size:11px}, style_1{font-size:12px}<br />
<br />
Both Reports are using the same style sheet. I have also attached the css file with it.

Ok, I understand now. This seems like it's probably a bug to me. What is your BIRT version? You might search the bugs to see if there is anything like this reported already. If you don't find anything in a quick search, please file something on this.

Just a thought. What happens when you only apply the CSS style sheet to one of the reports and then join them like this? Does it still mess up?

When we apply the CSS style sheet to only one of the reports and join them, second report doesn't take the style and it's also messed up ...<br />
<br />
Moreover, we are using birt 2.5.2
