Formatting a crosstab output
Megha Nidhi Dahal
Hello there,
I have a very less working knowledge in BIRT crosstabs. I have a report which uses crosstabs to generate a report as shown in Screenshot_1, can I in any way make it look like the one in Screenshot_2.
The bordering and highlighting are not of much concern, but can I make the output to come up in a different table?
Need help.
regards
Arpan

Hi Arpan,
If you embed the crosstab in a list or table element that lists out your Circle values. You'd group the outer table by circle, then put your crosstab in the group footer with carrier as your only row dimension. You'll add the circle value as an attribute to the carrier value in your dataCube by clicking on the carrier dimension in the cube editor and clicking on edit on the right. You then add the attribute of circle. You can now filter your inner crosstab by the outer list/table's value compared to this attribute. This will allow you to make it look like the second image above.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you have questions.
