Date parameter default value
RCirne
Hello all,
Is there a way to set the default value for a date parameter to the current system date? If so, is it possible also to set it to a calculated date, say the first day of the current month?
Thanks

In BIRT 2.5 and greater, there is a Default Value expression for parameters. You can set it to "new Date()", and that will set it to the current system date.

Thanks for the reply, but my question is regarding how to do that in the Maximo report parameters dialog, to have the default values but still allow the user to edit the values as necessary.

On the parameter section for your report in Report Administration, set the Lookup Name to datelookup and Default Value to 0. (currently using Maximo 7.5)
The default is an offset from the current day when the datelookup is used. (-30 would be one month ago, 7 is one week into the future).
