How manipulate Combobox parameter

How do you manipulate combo box parameter or list box parameter in birt in order to add 12 items to a combox box parameter or a list box parameter using javascript, for example i was trying to add items using for statement but it didn't work check this code out below Help please:

for (var i=1; i<=12; i++)
{
para["RP_IN_MONTH_YEAR"].Items.Add(i);
}

Hi Lucky,

Where are you trying to write this code? Are you just trying to dynamically set the values that the user has to choose from in your parameter? Where do these values come from? Could you just link your parameter to your dataSet and grab the values? Or are the values just going to be entered by you statically? In this case, you could just create a simple scripted dataSet with the values you want and create a dynamic parameter that uses this dataSet to grab the 12 values you've set in the dataSet.
