Execute sql alter statement

Hi,

I'm wondering if I could run an SQL alter statement for some purpose.
For example, before I run a dataset query that fetches some rows, I want to run an alter statement that set the star_transformation_enabled = false.
I've tried to define this statement in a dataset, but because it does not return any result set, then BIRT regards this as an error.

Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks!

You could make it part of a Stored Procedure that does return a basic resultset.
Then call the SP in the report.
