All,

Is there a way to validate a new directory being created in Teamsite. For instance when an editor creates a new directory in the WebDesk Pro interface, any characters can be put in the name. Is there a way to validate and strip out certain characters, or not let the directory be created?

Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately, I don't believe the OOTB menu item for creating directories provides any degree of configuration in this manner.

Aside from suggesting that you file a feature request, I think the best work-around would be to modify iw.cfg so that the New Directory option is disabled *and* create your own custom menu item for creating new directories using a CGI program, in which you'll be able to control all sorts of aspects of the process.
