To suppress duplicates in report parameter

Hi,

I created a parameter of the TYPE table in RTC BIRT.
The value column and the display columns are different. In such a case even when i am de-selecting the 'Allow duplicates' it is displaying duplicates.
Can u suggest a method to avoid duplicates in this scenario?

If that doesn't work, it may be that there's somehow a slight mismatch in those different values, so they're all showing. Just let me know!
