UNABLE TO OPEN IN XLS FORMAT

Hi,
I have generated a Report which is exported to all the formats which are given in the webviewer
but the file which was generated in XLS format not opening with MS-EXCEL.
Please help me out

When i was open with MS-EXCEL it was saying that Excel can not open this file because the file format or extension is not valid.

What version of Excel are you using and what version of BIRT? You could try the Tribix XLS emitter.
