Proportional Crosstab width
jgisler
We use a crosstab inside a list. There is no "width" property on the list it just seems to size to 100% of the page. This appears to be the same with the crosstab. The crosstab always seems to be 100% of element in which it is contained. We can set column widths on the internal columns inside the crosstab but it seems they also default to 100%. I don't see any width settings in the property sheet for the crosstab or the list.
The problem is that when there are only 2 columns in a crosstab, the entire table structure of the crosstab stretches to the entire width of the page and you get columns that look odd because they are so wide. We could set the inner column widths to "best guess" values but often this is incorrect.
Is there any way we can set the width of the crosstab itself to be proportional to the content of the crosstab much like an HTML table?

You could try putting a grid in your report first and then add the crosstab inside that. You could then size the columns of the grid how you'd like and the crosstab will fill that column. Let me know if it works.
