Why is string to number conversion is not working ?

Hello everybody,

I have some weird issues with data conversion. I need to extract a year from a parameter and add 1 year to each year in my range.

(valueOf( substring(params["strtYear"],0,4)) + 1) + "-" + (valueOf(substring(params["endYear"],0,4)) + 1)

This is not working.

Where are you putting this script? What is it giving you?

You might try parsing the "substring" value to an integer before adding 1 to it.
