save the parameters console page
ajunuthula
Hi,
Can I insert "save"button on the parameters console page?
After the user enters the input, there should be save button where he can save the page.
Any idea?
Thank you.

You might be able to do this if you create your own custom JSP parameter page. Are you just wanting to capture the values? Or wanting to save the actual page? If the values, you could write them out to a file from your report or you could display them in your report.

Our application should have both save and load buttons.
We just need to capture the values and later when clicked on "Load", the values must be loaded back into the parameters.
Any example would be of great help.
Thank you.

Are you wanting to make one set of parameters saveable and loadable? If they enter a second set of parameters and click save, would they overwrite the others?
ajunuthula
Yes, we want to make one set of parameters saveable and loadable.
If there is no way to save it as other file, then we go with the option of overwrite.
Thank you.

There isn't a way to do this out of the box within BIRT to my knowledge. I haven't done it, but I would guess that you could create your own JSP parameter page and create a save button that you could click and write the parameter values to a file, then when they clicked on "load", you could access the file you saved them in and assign the values to the appropriate parameter box. I could be wrong though. Here's a link to a devShare entry that will get you started with the custom parameter page:
