fileTableLock
mshafra
When we are running reports in the batch mode we are able to run multiple reports at the same time but BIRT generates the internal log file in the /birt/birt-runtime-2_5_2/ReportEngine/configuration/ directory. Should the .fileTableLock prevent other batch jobs from starting BIRT engine? But multiple batch jobs run at the same time and those files are just the only inconvenient outcome. We?ve tried to change (.fileTableLock ) file permissions but it did not help. Another question is why are those log files generated in the internal BIRT directory and not in the specified location:
config = new EngineConfig( );
//config.setBIRTHome(birtHomePath+"/ReportEngine");
config.setEngineHome(birtHomePath+"/ReportEngine"); // set the BIRT_HOME system property
config.setLogConfig(reportPath, java.util.logging.Level.WARNING); // Set log file path and log lev
config.setLogFile(jobName+"_birt.log"); // Set the name of the log file
Platform.startup( config );
IReportEngineFactory factory = (IReportEngineFactory)Platform
.createFactoryObject( IReportEngineFactory.EXTENSION_REPORT_ENGINE_FACTORY );
engine = factory.createReportEngine( config );
Below is the some context from the BIRT log file:
