I've just installed OpenDeploy 5.6 on a UNIX server running TeamSite 5.5.2 [Admin and Base servers] and config'd it where I'm bootstrap user. Although I can login and view configurations (config xmls and odbase.xml/etc), I can't seem to be able to grant User Access to others. I go to User Access -> Roles and enter a user and see od-admin and when I click Add, I'm told I'm not authorized. What's up? Is this tied to the fact that TeamSite OpenAPI is running.
I first noticed this when OpenDeploy 5.5.1 was running and we manually added od-admin.uid my userid and mv'd od-admin in db which was recreated by iwtcboot. That's when I was able to login with admin privs. But still I couldn't do Add so we backed up 5.5.1 and went ahead with 5.6 and sp1. But the Add feature is still not allowed to me.
I think it has something to do with the initial install but can't figure how to fix. Thanks.

You need to login first as the bootstrap user with the "admin" role selected from the login screen. Make sure you did that, as opposed to logging in with "user" selected.
When logged in, if you look at the upper middle-ish portion of the UI, you should see the role you're logged in as (od-admin or od-user).
Once you're in as an admin, you should be able to assign roles, servers and deployments to users.
