Barcode using font CODE 128

Hi, 
 
I am using CODE 128 font to generate Barcode in report. Its working fine with BIRT Viewer and .xls output, but it appears as number when report is exported in .pdf or .doc. Fonts gets automatically changed to Times New Roman wheb exported to Word doc. 
 
Please help to tackle this problem

suggest you try the BIRT Barcode Plugin to generate linear & 2D barcodes including Code 128 in BIRT reports.You can try <a class='bbc_url' href='http://www.onbarcode.com/products/birt_barcode/'>BIRT Barcode Plugin</a>.You can follow the 6 steps <a class='bbc_url' href='http://www.onbarcode.com/tutorial/java-barcode-eclipse-birt.html'>BIRT Barcode Generation Guide</a>: 
1.Download BIRT Barcode free Trial Version 
2.Copy com.onbarcode.barcode.birt_2.2.1.jar to your Eclipse plugins directory "\eclipse\plugins\" 
3.Create a new BIRT report, and open "Palette", you can find a report item named "Barcode". 
4.Drag and drop the "Barcode" report item to your report 
5.It's done. You have added a barcode to your BIRT report successfully. 
6.View more details about how to set BIRT barcode properties using BIRT Barcode

Hi,

Make sure your font is installed in the machine locally, from where it is being printed.

For pdf printing, you've to add few lines of code in fonts-config.xml.

I think you're using IDAutomation.

I suggest you to download a free barcode scanner first to have a try.There are so many companies sell barcode scanners nowadays. Maybe, you can buy one online. I have brought one from <a class='bbc_url' href='http://www.keepautomation.com/products/word_barcode/barcodes/code_128.html'>KEEPAUTOMATION</a> and it works well. This company can also provide you with some free online barcode generator, you may have a try someday.

Make sure your FontConfig is configured correctly. They are located under the org.eclipse.birt.report.engine.fonts plugin.

I've ever tried several ways for my barcode generation in BIRT report. So, I guess you may firstly choose the suitable barcode tool for your projects, either <a class='bbc_url' href='http://www.onbarcode.com/fonts/code_128.html'>Code 128 barcode fonts</a> or <a class='bbc_url' href='http://www.onbarcode.com/eclipse_birt/'>BIRT Barcode Generator</a>.

I once read a FAQ page about the <a class='bbc_url' href='http://www.barcodelib.com/java_barcode/barcode_symbologies/java_barcode_eclipse_birt.html'>barcode generation</a> in BIRT, but I am not whether your issue is posted there. So I think you better ask help from your <a class='bbc_url' href='http://www.barcodelib.com/java_barcode/main.html'>barcode font</a> provider.

there are many ways to do that. If you wanna save these complicated steps and find a easy way, you can google barcode generator and you will find many useful tools, or google how to create barcode in c# to get instructive articles. Good luck:) I think some imaging sdk programmes can enable to quickly generate barcodes. i have use imaging sdkr which can original layouts hyperlinks, Images and tables retained in word ,text, image, Epub, html.but i forgot download the wedsite ,go to google. By the way , pay attention to your system platform, select the suitable one . I use a barcode generator driver found on the internet . Install it and it becomes a selectable option.Then you can generate barcodes in many formats in any program at all, including Adobe Acrobat . Just open the sdk, select barcode, and choice a form you want, then you can <a class='bbc_url' href='http://www.rasteredge.com/how-to/csharp-imaging/barcode-generating/'>generate barcode</a> in c#, vb, asp ,etc ,the task will be finished in several seconds. if you haven't found a good choice , you can have a try. best wishes.

Well, I'm using this to <a data-ipb='nomediaparse' href='http://www.businessrefinery.com/csharp/guide/code_128.html'>create Code 128</a> with auto subset selection. Pretty cool.
