Information console address
aglass
Hi,
I would like to know if there is a unique address to the information console area of a BIRT report as I would like to reference this to give users the opportunity to select their own parameters for a report.
I have linked the report on the dashboard application and would like the same information information object screen as I get in BIRT to appear when I try to run the report. As seen in the attached screen shot.
Thanks

How did you link to the report (what does the URL look like)?
It should always go to the Parameter Requester page if the URL does not have invokesubmit=true.

Hi thuston,
Thanks for the above taking out that part of the link does mean that the parameter page now appears and we can select the parameters we wish.
However we now have encountered another issue that you may be able to help with?
The report we are trying to run is comprised of a table and then 4 charts underneath of which each chart relates to one of the parameters that you previously helped us be able to select.
Now when we run the report in BIRT both the table and charts appear in the pdf output however when run from the dashboard we only see the table - even after selecting the parameters for the charts.
Any ideas on why this might be?
The url for the report is as follows:
"/iportal/executereport.do?__executableName=/My Project/Reports/Table and Charts Report.rptdesign&__format=pdf&invokesubmit=true&pLocationID=" + row["Location_ID"] + "&pComparativeID=-123456789 ";
Thanks for your help.
Regards,
Tony

Is the dashboard using a bookmark to only show the Table portion of the report?

we have done some more investigation and found that the issue lies with the page breaks option.
All elements in the report are included in one grid and we have a page break after the first row (which has the table in it). When we took this out the report ran completely showing all tables and charts. However we need the page break to have the table on the first page and then the charts afterwards.
Do you have any idea why this might be the case?
Thanks in advance
Tony
