Avoid Page Break Inside for 2.3.2

I am using BIRT 2.3.2 in conjunction with MAXIMO. Since IBM is not currently supporting a later version of BIRT, I'm stuck with it for now. I read <a class='bbc_url' href='http://www.birt-exchange.org/org/forum/index.php/topic/15126-avoid-pagebreakinside/'>here</a> that the Avoid option for Page Break Inside for a row was disabled in 2.3.2. Is there any way around this? Perhaps some way to tell during the render phase where I am on the page and insert a page break using scripting if I'm past a certain point on the page? The row I'm working with is a fixed height, so if I know there isn't x number of inches left on the page, I want to display the row on the next page.<br />

If you're working with fixed row height, you could just use the page break interval to limit the number of rows on a page to a number that fits. Otherwise, you can always design your reports in the newer version of BIRT and just use URL calls to call your reports running in a separate deployed version of BIRT from your Maximo application.

I'm sorry, I wasn't clear in my original description of my situation. My fixed-height row is one of many detail rows in my table, and the detail rows that precede my fixed-height row are of variable heights. So I'm afraid changing the page break interval won't help me.

Your second suggestion sounds a bit hairy for a noob like me.

It seems like a lot of work to set up a separate deployment just for one report that needs this one feature (so far). I may just have to always page break before my fixed-height row for now.

It's not too difficult to set up the deployed viewer on your app server and make URL calls to it. Completely up to you though!
