Hide grid element based on Page number

Hi All,

We are using BIRT 2.6.2. and i have a requirement like hide element on Masterpage, so that i am using below code onRender event. But unable to get the result. Please correct me.

if(pageNumber>1){
false;
}else{
true;
}

Try this instead in the onRender:

if (pageNumber > 1){
this.getStyle().display = "none"
}

I have applied given script on date and page number in Master page. But i didn't get the result. Attached is the my rptdesign. please correct me.
