Report runs as PDF but not HTML

I have a report built using the eclipse birt tools 2.6.0. Everything works fine when I run it within eclipse.

In production I have birt set up through a php/java bridge with Tomcat 6.0. Most reports work fine, except I get an occasional report that will work as pdf, but not as html. I get a very generic error:

o:Exception]:"java.lang.Exception: Invoke failed: [[o:RunAndRenderTask->run. Cause: org.eclipse.birt.report.engine.api.EngineException: Error happened while running the report VM: 1.6.0_20@http://java.sun.com/"

How can I enable more error logging to help me find and fix this error?

There is no '+' next to the error to be able to expand it? Or does this error come in a pop up? If so, does it not have a "details" option to click on to expand the error?

The reports are running within the PHP/JAVA bridge, so the only error I am getting is the JavaException provided by the java bridge. 
 
Is there another way to get the errors? or is there something I can enable within tomcat to provide better error logging?

Are you deploying the viewer or are you writing your own code to call the reports? If you deploy the viewer to tomcat, you can just call your reports with a URL from anywhere. If you're not doing that, is there anything specific about the reports that don't work that is the same? Like they all have charts and the ones that work don't, or anything like that?

I guess i need to get I need to get my install upgraded to 2.6.1 or newer to get it fixed.

It did, I upgraded BIRT to 2.6.2 last night and the reports no longer crash.
