Freeze header in a table

Maybe I am just not finding it in the forum with the right search words so I am asking here. 
I am creating a report that will be displayed as web app using BIRT Viewer. The report will contain a 
table that will contain alot of rows. Is there anyway to design the table so that the data contents scroll 
up or down while the header stays in place? Like the feature in Excel where you can 'freeze' the header. 
 
I did find one example in the forum that works in eclipse, but it contained notes that it would be inactive if used in BIRT Viewer (and of course it was). But it worked perfect in eclipse.

You can embed the viewer in a JSP page using the tag library and can even call bookmarked items from reports to display. So, you could probably use a JSP page to display what you're wanting, I would think, by creating your header separately in your JSP page and embedding the table from the report below it. I haven't tried it, but it's an idea. Let me know if you have questions. I might give this a try here in a bit. If I do, I'll let you know how it turns out.

If you create a separate table or grid with only the header row, then put your full table (minus the header) in another grid cell below the first, you should be able to set the overflow property on the second grid cell to "scroll". This should do what you're wanting to do. Let me know.

You're right, this doesn't appear to be working in 4.3. Please log a bug for this.

I've even tried using script tags in a HTML text box to make it work properly without success. If I find something that works, I'll let you know.
