BIRT Report File Size
jijuela
Dear All,
We have some text reports with a <PRE> tag for embedding on a web page.
Now we have to migrate it to BIRT.
But the file sizes are very huge when we designed it in BIRT.
Some times 5 to 10 times bigger than the plain HTML output.
Is there any way to reduce the output file sizes from BIRT?
Please give us the suggestions if any, ASAP.
Thanks & Regards,
Jiju Elayedath.

Dear All,<br />
Please ignore the previous post. We have some text reports which are currently embedded onto HTML page using a HTML <PRE> tag. We are in the process of migrating them using BIRT(version 2.5.2). In BIRT we are generating these text reports as a HTML output. These BIRT based HTML output file sizes are huge compared to the existing text based output (sometimes as big as X5/X10 times the original size).<br />

<strong class='bbc'><span class='bbc_underline'>Please Note:</span></strong> We were able to reduce the BIRT HTML output size by 5-10% by merging the unused cells (eventually reducing the number of <TD> tags in the generated output).<br />
