Text is overlapping when using special font

Hi, i want to use a different font in my report. The font is installed on the machine (windows), so i can choose the font in the property editor. But when i preview the report (as PDF), the report is messed up. Text is overlapping. Any idea, what I can do to fix this? Thanks in…

So, it's not wrapping as it's supposed to? Do you set the widths on your columns?

Hi mwilliams,

it's not that the text is horizontally overlapping. It is vertically overlapping.
But i found out, that when setting the line height (it is to "normal" by default) (Propertiey Editor => Properties => Advanced => Text => Line heigt) to 100% the text is displayed ok.
Actually I expected, that Birt would do that by itself (adjusting the line heigt, if necessary).

I also thought, that it would be the problem, because I didn't configure the fontsConfigXXX.xml - files and that would result in messing up the report when using a different font.

Well...I can live with the result but any idea if that is a normal behaviour?

I wouldn't think that should be the normal behavior. Please log a bug for this at http://www.birt-exchange.org/org/resources/bug-reporting/ about this and see what they say.
