Localization

Hello BIRT community,

I want to use localization for some text items.
Form the book I can see that the localization key is bound to the text report item. That means that I can use this method if I want to translate whole Text Item.

But how do I translate only part of it. And what happens to the parameters that are invokes into the text item.

You could do something like this:

importPackage(Packages.java.util);
var lc = new Locale("de_DE");
var mypartialtext = reportContext.getMessage("text1", lc);

You can do it in script or in an expression builder.
