how to view the pdf in landscape mode

when view as pdf, I found the report view in portrait mode, but I want it display as landscape mode, I see some website which mention to change the master page orientation to landscape, I try this but the report when view in pdf, still shown as portrait, so any method to make the report view in landscape format in pdf (when view in web viewer, the report is shown in landscape mode) ?
(I don't want to modify the resources folder master, I just want to change this report only)

my birt designer version is 2.2.1

I don't see the same issue in 2.2.1.1. I don't have a copy of 2.2.1 to check on. I see you have the Landscape setting set. Can you run the report in PDF and post the result in here? Also, can you recreate the issue with the sample database and post that report in here so I can run it?
