Hyperlink to a maximo app with parameters?

Hello

How can i setup a hyperlink from a birt report to a spezified app in maximo and give them one or more parameters. For Example: I need a hyperlink to a workorder in the quick reporting app with a wonum from report.

Hi Thomas,

You could use a URI hyperlink and pass the data you need through the URL to the other app. Or, you could build your hyperlink in a text control.

I'm a newby in Birt and i learn all the functions of Birt by my self. Have you an example for me? I use Birt 2.3.2 with Maximo 7.1.1.7. 
 
I have found a link like: <pre class='_prettyXprint _lang-auto _linenums:0'>http://hostname/maximo/ui/?event=loadapp&value=quickrep</pre>. 
 
This link works with a browser but not in preview in the Birt designer. And this link have no parameters to jump directly to a workorder in the quickrep of maximo.

How would the link to your Maximo application look if you were jumping to "workorder" 00001? From there, I'll show you how you'd use your row["workorder"] to create a hyperlink that should give you what you're wanting.

I have found a functionally link like:

"http://hostname/maximo/ui/?event=loadapp&value=quickrep&uniqueid=" + row["WORKORDERID"]

The problem is, that the IE open a new session when i open this link from report. I need the actually uisessionid. Have you an idea how to get the uisessionid?

I need a link like this:

"http://hostname/maximo/ui/?event=loadapp&value=quickrep&uniqueid=" + row["WORKORDERID"] + "&uisessionid=" + row["uisessionid"]

Ok, so if you have access to both the workorderid and the uisessionid, what is the problem you're having when you create the second URL?

The problem is, that i dont have the uisessionid or uiuserid and when i use the first link, i become a new window and must new login to maximo. So i have 2 open sessions. That's not what I want.

If you don't have access to those values, it'll be really hard to make a URL with them!

If you can pass those values into your BIRT report through parameters, you should be able to use the parameter values to build your URL.

Hi,

I got the url like this and it is working.
"https://maximouattmp/maximo/ui/login?&event=loadapp&value=plusgass&uisessionid=" + id +"&additionalevent=useqbe&additionaleventvalue=assetnum=" + row["Asset Number"] +"&forcereload=true"

My problem is every time when we click on the hyperlink, it is opening in new tab. How to avoid that?
