Connecting a new database

Hi

How do we connect to a new and a separate database in the eclipse BIRT?
I have a separated SQL database that has to be connected with the eclipse BIRT application.

Does anyone have a previous experience on this or can anyone help me on this?

When you insert a new Data Source, choose JDBC as the type, and you will need to make sure you have the correct JDBC driver and JDBC URL to connect to the database. If you go to the Help menu in BIRT, there is a tutorial on how to do this.
