So, you'd like to have a parameter page that looks something like:
Start Date Year: ___________________
Start Date Month: ___________________
End Date Year: __________________
End Date Month: __________________
And then use these to build your parameterized dates? Or something else? Can you explain a little more?

Willim sir,
Actually i have suppose 3 finance year (2009-2010,2010-2011,2011-2012) and each financeyear having 4 quaterend(jan-mar,april-june,july-sep,oct-dec) and each quater end have some startdate and end date like for jan-mar quater of 2009-2010 finance year having startdate from 1-1-2009 to 31-3-2009.just like that.i have some records whose starting and ending date in between these date and i want to fetch those records on the basics of these yr and qtr and date..I think now u got what i mean.
and the parameter page should look like
Financeyear
Quater
and when i enter these 2 parameter it"ll automatically fetch the records between these 2 dates startdate and end date..
another thing is that can we create a dataset parameter having type date. but when i try to do thish it shows following error that "can not set the datevalue(null) to parameter".

Here's an example of one way to do it. Let me know if you have questions. The script is in the beforeOpen of the dataSet.

Bubu sir,
It may be better if u copy the file as a whole and paste it in your report folder of your project rather copying the code...(this will be the best way)

BUBU,
I made a new report that shows how to do this with a fiscal year of April to March like we talked about. There was not much change, but you can see it in the year parameter and in the beforeOpen script.
