Draw a line Under data upto full length
santoshsingh1056
Hi all,<br />
<br />
I need to design a report whose look is something like a form that would be presented to some third party.<br />
<br />
The requirement is like this.<br />
<br />
To fill the form i am taking data (<span class='bbc_underline'>Underlined data</span>) from database .My issue is if length of data that is coming(of unknown length) from database is shorter then width of cell then also line should be drawn up to its full width. That is of some word is going in second line then also i like to have a line up to width of that cell.<br />
<br />
Something like this....<br />
Suppose Address is a label and its corrosponding data binding brings data something like this.. <br />
<br />
Address:<span class='bbc_underline'>xxxxxyyyyyzzzzz aaaaaabbbbbccccc dddddeeeeeeee</span><br />
<span class='bbc_underline'>ddddddddd dddd</span>_______________________________________<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
So I want to have line up to last point(upto end like above i used "_").<br />
<br />
Any one please help me on this.<br />
<br />
I am using BIRT 2.3.1<br />
<br />
Thanks <br />
<br />

Hi Santosh,
I would suggest you to use the border for your cell instead of underlining the data. This will make sure that the cell will be underlined to its whole width irrespective of the length of the data.
Hope this helps!

Border can be the solution only if the cell has only single row. Once the row get wrapped into multiple lines then two or more rows have only underline under last row. So there should be some other solution which might be provided by Birt.
