Change ScriptLib-Folder

Hi there,

I need to change the scriptlib-Folder in the web.xml of the report viewer. There's the configuration parameter BIRT_VIEWER_SCRIPTLIB_DIR that should do this. Unfortunately this does not work. I've found this issue:

Is there any workaround? I integrated BIRT into my rcp application and there is already a jar-file that I need in both plugins, but should not be moved to the default scriptlib-folder of BIRT.

It shows how to get at the appcontext with an RCP integration of the WebViewer. Using the appcontext you can manipulate the classpath. Look at the notes in PreviewBirtAction.java (run method). Specifically this extension point is added to the app: org.eclipse.birt.report.viewer.appcontext.

I use this topic again to place my question. Now I'm on the other side - the server side. I use the runtime 2.6.2 for generating the report. During report generation my classes can not be found by the script engine.

Error evaluating Javascript expression. Script engine error: TypeError: [JavaPackage de.mypackage.myConnector] is not a function, it is object. (/report/data-sets/script-data-set[@id="28"]/method[@name="open"]#8)

I already put my jar file (containing the classes with the correct package path) within birt-runtime_2_6_2/ReportEngine/lib . Is this correct? Or where do I need to place the class file?

Try to put your jar in the scriptlib directory. If you are using the new 3.7 runtime you can put it anywhere in the cp.
