Stopping Birt from creating reports

Is it possible to stop Birt from creating a chart with javascript. Like in beforeFactory script event.

Do you mean based on a parameter from the user or one passed in from your application? If so, yes. You could drop the chart from the design in the beforeFactory script. All you'd need to do is name the chart in the general tab in the property editor, then grab the chart by its name in your beforeFactory script and drop it based on the parameter that tells you to do so. Let me know if you have questions.

Do you happen to know how to drop the chart? I can't find in the list of methods in the report that I have chosen. 
 
Or do you mean clear it from the html. My plan is to let birt skip generating the chart image. To safe time and space.

Here's an example showing how to drop a table based on a parameter. The chart would be the same way. Just name the chart in the general tab of the property editor and then change the beforeFactory script to find the chart element. Let me know if you have questions!
