Birt Report Version

Hi, i have made a report on the Birt Report Designer Professional , and want to create a different version report.
The version of the created report is :

how do i change the version? just change the value?
Also how do i create a new report with an older version?

So, you made a report or downloaded a report in a newer version than you have running on your machine? And, you want to be able to run it in an older version? If this is the case, this doesn't work sometimes, as new features are added, so older versions can't open some newer stuff. The way to open a newer report in an older version of BIRT is to go to the XML source of a report design you've created in your older version, highlight the version info from the top few lines and paste it into the XML of the newer design. If you can view the layout and run the report, then it works. If it still won't let you see the layout or throws errors, you'll most likely have to create a new report or figure out what you wanted to figure out in this newer report by looking at the XML source. To create a report with an older version, you'll need to go download the older version of BIRT. Let me know if this answers your questions.

Also, could you handle me the DB2 - jdbc.jar file? i want to copy that to use with my Rational TC.

I think my rational team concert does not support change of version reports. 
MMm... also I tried to create the same report on the RTC But i dont have the JDBC file for DB2. 
I created a connection profile but it seems i need the JDBC file in the RTC also.

Can you explain what you are trying to do? RTC will only allow reports with the version of BIRT it uses. I'm not sure what version that is. You can, however, use whatever version of BIRT you want and just run it separately from RTC. You'd just call your reports with Java or by URL from your RTC application.

In RTC as you say it only allows reports of the birt report it haves. 
Also it only have the .jar files for making a connection of Jazz File, or JDBC Server ( but only it has the DERBY JDBC driver). 
I want to make a report using db2 and its jdbc a (like using the Birt Designer Pro). 
I need the jdbc connection driver file. 
 
In summary i want to make a report on RTC with a data source on db2 but i need the jdbc driver for db2 because rtc dosent have it.

I'm a little confused here...

You have two issues, correct?

1. You are asking about versions in reports. Are you trying to make it look like a BIRT report you created is from an earlier version of BIRT (example, you wrote a report in BIRT 2.3.2, but you need it to open in BIRT 2.1), or are you asking about "versioning" in the context of a version control system. (ex. My initial report is Version 1. I make a change to the report, it is version 2.)

Yes i have 2 issues. 
 
1. The problem is that my RTC only supports reportes version 2.1 and the report I made in Report Designer its 2.3.2. 
 
 
2.I needed the DB2 JDBC driver. Thanks. Now i'm having a problem with the URL for the driver. 
 
i have tried this combinations :

And it saids that the URL can not parse the given url : 
 
Driver class : com.ibm.db2.jcc.DB2Driver (v3.53)

Anyone have the com.actuate.jdbc.db2.DB2Driver that Birt designer uses?

I have added the following files in the "Manage Driers " section when creation a data source:

-db2jcc_license_cu.jar
-db2jcc_license_cisuz.jar
-db2java.zip
-db2jcc.jar

And in the driver i choose :
com.ibm.db2.jcc.DB2Driver (v3.53)
URL :
jdbc:db2://localhost:50000/IBKCQ
