Dreamweaver Template Builder

Hi,
I am very new to TeamSite a just started really using it this week. I tried using the Dreamweaver plugin for building Templates and DCR's.
Does anyone know if you always have to start with a blank page when building presentation templates? I already have presentation templates that I build before we decided on TeamSite and all I need to do now is plug in the DCR values.

But it keeps wanting to start with a new page? Any information on how to do is would be very helpful.

If you have some existing html that you want to plug in the hooks to a DCR you have 2 choices...

A. Create a new blank TPL in DW then copy your html and paste it between the HTML tags.

B. Change the file extension of your existing html page to .tpl and add <iw_pt name="default"/> to the very first line of the doc

To save yourself a headache later, you may want to change the meta tag to the following.

<META HTTP-EQUIV="Content-Type" CONTENT="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />

Visual Template builder is pretty good, but also pretty buggy.
