Number of Bars in a Bar chart
ajunuthula
Hi,
The number of bars vary each time I run a report, sometimes its 20 sometimes its 95...
How can I view all the 95 bars in the report?
Thank you.

All 95 bars don't show up? Or you want to view all 95 labels? You could turn the labels so that they are vertical if that helps. Can you explain more about what you're wanting?

I helped someone with a similar requirement. They only wanted a maximum of 10 bars in each chart.<br />
<br />
The solution was a Computed column in the ordered DataSet to generate a [GroupID] for each category column.<br />
<pre class='_prettyXprint _lang-auto _linenums:0'>if ( rtMap.get( "GroupVal" ) != row["COUNTRY"] ){
rtMap.put( "GroupVal", row["COUNTRY"] );
if ( rtMap.get( "GroupID" ) == null ){
rtMap.put( "GroupID", '0' );
}else{
rtMap.put( "GroupID", ( parseInt(rtMap.get("GroupID")) + 1 ) );
}
}
rtMap.get( "GroupID" );</pre>
Put this in DataSet's BeforeOpen to initialize the HashMap. <pre class='_prettyXprint _lang-auto _linenums:0'>rtMap = new java.util.HashMap();</pre>
<br />
Then add a Table with a Group on [GroupID] with an interval of 10.<br />
Put the Chart in the Table header.
