Birt Viewer tag libraries

Hi,

We are using Birt tag libraries to generate ondemand reports. We used <birt:report> tag but pagination is not working with this. Below is the code:
<birt:report id="birtViewer"
reportDesign="new_report.rptdesign"
format="html"
frameborder="no"
isHostPage="false"
pageNum="2"
scrolling="no"
height="3200"
width="950" >
</birt:report>

here pageNum="2" should display only the data on page 2 but for this to work we need to have rptDocument generated.
But for our onDemand reports, we will not have any rptdocuments generated. Any idea on how to get this pagenum working without having rptdocument generated.

We know that it works with <birt:viewer> but we want to customize the viewer by removing the frameborder which is not possible.If there is any way we can remove frameborder with <birt:viewer> we can use the same for onDemand reports.

Do you want to remove just the frameborder?
I think there is an attribute in the viewer tag to remove frameborder.

Is there any attribute which can remove iframe and have div in <birt:viewer> like reportContainer in <birt:report>.

I do not think the viewer tag supports a div. Why can you not use the report tag? BTW pattern should be "frameset" or "run" or "preview"

Jason,

To use the report tag, rptDocument should be generated already. Report tag documentation says that. For synchronouse reports using birt viewer, there is no intermediate rptDocument generated

If you do not want the rptdocument created set pattern to run or preview. If you want it created use frameset pattern.
