BIRT chart export to excel 2007

Hi,

I am using chart in my report.but when i tried to export my chart through webviewer to excel 2007,i am not getting it.when i searched in the forum,i saw birt does not support excel.

Is there any way to export birt chart to excel 2007..if please let me know.

i am using birt 2_5_2 ----chart format: SVG

You could try the Tribix XLS emitter. It uses a binary XLS output which is compatible with XLS for images. The standard emitter uses a XML XLS output, which does not work with Excel for images.

The other option would be to upgrade to Actuate 11 BIRT. Its XLS emitter supports images.

To generate Excel 2007-2010 XLSX documents you can use Arctorus BIRT emitters. Images and charts are supported for all office formats. There is small demo report with charts and exported Excel 2007 xlsx file.

I have tried the Tribix XLS emitter as you said...its working but there are many open bugs...when i exported all the colors which i specified in the design file gone...and formatting totally collapsed....these are the bugs raised long back and no reply for that in the forum.... 
 
is there any other free xls emitter available...if so please refer me ....because another member refer me an xls emitter which i have to buy(Arctorus BIRT emitters)...can you please help me....

The commercial version of BIRT offers more functionality and a much better Excel emitter.

i searched in net and i got one Exelero - XLS emitter-but i dont know how to configure to birt viewer? 
because tribix gave me two files where i need to replace the old files in plugin folder.

I have not used any other open source XLS emitters besides the tribix and BIRT ones. Does the Exelero not come with a readme file to help you set it up?
