Can I remove "ActiveBar" & "cleanhtml" messages?

When pasting content into a VFE i get the following alert message, which i need to remove/disable. ive tried to reinstall the client and it doesnt help. thanks in advance.

also, is it possible to hide the "clean html" screen that flashes briefly when its working?

Remove the ActiveBar error message:
Page 340 in the VisualFormat Developer’s Guide Release 5.5.2.

Disable clean html dialog:
Look at the showonsize attr on page 238 in the VisualFormat Developer’s Guide Release 5.5.2, it might help.

cool, thanks. i was able to remove the activebar message by downloading the .exe directly from ektron and reinstalling it.

however, the "showonsize" attribute doesnt seem to work. i set the value really high, showonsize="5000000", but the cleaning message still appears.

the documentation says the following, so it seems like it should work.

"The minimum number of characters of HTML code
needed to display a dialog box that appears when the
user saves content."

We had some weird issue yesterday where it was caching the config file - check the apache log and see if it is requesting the config file. I think restarting apache fixed it. The guy I was working with said that some documentation (maybe that from Ektron) on which config file to change might also be inaccurate - I think the one to edit is IWHOME/iw/config/visualformatconfig.xml,

i checked the access.log file and our only request was on 20/Aug/2002 for /iw/config/visualformatconfig.xml

i tried to restart the "Interwoven Web Daemon" service (i think this is apache correct?) and it didnt request it again.

any ideas?
