Hi! 
 
Here is my problem. I'm trying to automate reporting on event, or schedule. 
 
I created a report design in designer, where created mysql datasource. 
Database/username/password configuration points to my local database. 
JNDI URL points to datasource under JBoss. 
 
Data in my local database is historical, and JNDI Datasource points to actual data, on different machine. 
 
When i'm trying to run the report under jboss I get this traceback:

From error I understand that something unseccessfully tries to connect to 192.168.8.35 with root. 
192.168.8.35 is local IP, but mysql is bound to localhost. 
 
Any way report is generated. And from report I see that it's generated with historical data. 
Report did not use JNDI datasource. why? 
 
 
Now if I alter the report and set username and password of actual database (URL still points to local database). The same process runs without problems. And in report I see actual data. 
 
 
I'm new to BIRT. And can not figure out what is happening. Why JNDI datasource somehow depends on username 
and password set for design time database?

Are you only testing this from the designer or are you deploying the report? From the designer the user/pwd is always required.

I'm deploying the report. All of explained above is deployed.

Can you try and clear the user/pwd fields and deploy the report to see if that works. Lin Zhu from the dev team posted a bug for this issue.

Yes. If user/pwd fields are cleared, everything runs fine. 
 
But it's uncomfortable. Is there any way to control this "getting connection" behavior? 
For example, to exclude getting connection with auth properties.
