Dynamic report page Title
wasimalam
I have several sections in a report with each section having its own page title. if a section in the report happens to be large enough to be on more than one page. I would like the subsequent pages to have the word "continued" appended in the title after the 1st page of the section is generated. I tried using pageNumbers but that does not seem to fix it?

e.g.
Page 1: Title 1
page 2: Title 2
Page 3: Title 3
Page 4: Title 3 continued
Page 5: Title 3 continued
Page 6: Title 4
....
etc. etc.

Thanks in advance !

What is your BIRT version? Are you wanting this in the masterpage header or in the table's header? For the masterpage, page variables will probably be the way to go. Let me know your BIRT version and I'll try to make you a quick sample if you need it.

Thanks. The BIRT version is 2.5. Currently the page design is such that it is a grid with two rows. The first is where the page title comes into picture and the second row has the table (report is generated as ppt). If masterpage is the way to go for page title, that should not be an issue. A small sample would be great. Thanks for your help !

Ok, this works correctly if you run in the web viewer and export to PPT. If you run it straight to PPT from the designer, setting the variable in the onCreate of the footer of the previous table rather than in the current table's onCreate script works. Let me know if you have questions.
