Does BIRT do anything with dataSetRowLimit?
EricB
I'm using a scripted data source and have set the 'Data set row limit' value in the 'Advanced' tab of the report designer. In the rptdesign, it ends up looking like...
<property name="dataSetRowLimit">2</property>
When I run the report, it seems to have no effect. I expected this limit to cap the # of rows that BIRT was getting from my result set. Is that expected behavior? Or am I, as the Scripted Data Source developer, responsible for reading this value and ensuring that my result set contains no more results than specified by the dataSetRowLimit?
Thanks,
Eric

Eric,
Can you log a bug for this? That property is deprecated. If you do a normal jdbc dataset there is a property on the dataset (settings) "Max number of rows to fetch from data source" which has replaced this value. This setting if set will add:
<property name="rowFetchLimit">5</property>
To the dataset definition. The scripted datasource does not have the gui to write this value but you can put the property in manually on the xml and it should work.
