Report generation failed

Hi,

I sometimes encounter the error,
"Report generation failed. Cause: Error happened while generating report"
The exact cause of the error is not displayed.
Is there a local file where the errors/exceptions are logged in BIRT? If so, can you tell me where to find it?

Have you tried the "problems" view? It's down by the property editor. If you don't see it, go to window -> show view -> and select the problems view. Sometimes errors will be shown here. Let me know.

I just checked the Problems view, there are no errors listed there.
The XML Source also does not highlight anything in red.

Any further suggestions?

BIRT has build in logging. You can also set up your own logging. You can see an example of that in this devShare post:
