large xml data
Flash05
Hi,
as part of my thesis I have to analyze and document a 600 mb large XML data.
For the analysis and documentation I would like to use BIRT.
But the processing is far too slow.
What can I do about it?

Hi, have you tried with a smaller XML to see if the schema is ok? Which release of BIRT are you using? Did you filter off unwanted columns from the XML in your dataset? Filtering will help in performance. Also any possibility of uploading the XML data into a DBMS? It should be giving you better performance via DBMS. <br />

Hi ahsiang,<br />
<br />
i?m using BIRT 3.7 (All-in-one). The schema should be ok. Filter columns, how does that work? <br />
Which DBMS can i use for the large xml data, any suggestions?
ahsiang
what you can do is upload them to mysql community edition as db and use talend open source to read the xml.<br />
