Hello,

I am new to BIRT.

I am using a datat type of decimal. I have an expression:
dataSetRow["PREAPPR"]-(dataSetRow["LABCOST"]+dataSetRow["MATCOST"])

BUT the values are coming out like 240081.43000000002 how do I round to 2 places: 240081.43 ???

If you select the data element in your table and go to the property editor, there is a section called numberformat. Here you can specify the format you'd like for the data element. Hope this helps.
