But the reports facing the following error.
Caused by: org.eclipse.birt.core.exception.CoreException: Can not convert the value of Tier0 to BigDecimal type.
at org.eclipse.birt.core.data.DataTypeUtil.toBigDecimal(DataTypeUtil.java:362)

What is the type on the data in your database and what type are you trying to use in BIRT in your dataSet? Were you possibly using the "any" type in the older version? If so, this option went away and would cause issues.

Hi,
I fixed the issue.the issue was in joint dataset.the string filed is joined with numeric.
but this was worked in 2.2? any major difference

There were some major platform changes in 2.5, I believe it was. So, upgrading from an earlier version to 2.5 caused more errors probably than any other upgrade. I know a big one was losing the "Any" data type which may have helped in the join that worked in 2.2 that didn't work in your upgraded version.

yes you are right. i am facing more errors. is any way to fix the upgrade issue?

Unfortunately, there probably isn't a way. The changes that were made were made to better BIRT as a whole. Once you finish upgrading to BIRT 2.5 with no errors, upgrades after that should be easier, unless more major platforma changes are made again before you upgrade. What other errors are you running into?
