Scripted Datasource with Java Object Column
ReneH
Hi,
i am currently integrating birt in a client-server based appliation. the servers task is to create a report, sending the generated report file to the client which then renders the result in an eclipse rcp view. i am using a scripted datasource to fetch my data and i have created a custom swt emitter which renders the report in the mentioned view. this was working fine until i added a new column to the data set which contains a java object. the report file is created correctly but on the client no data is rendered - my emitter is only called for creating the column headers. if i remove the java object column it is working fine again. i tried to put a simple java.lang.Object as a result into the column in my datasource but this is not working either. are there limitations to which kinds of objects are allowed or am i doing something wrong? TIA for any hint.
regards
rene
