Hi,

I noticed that we can use external credentials in actuate.authenticate.

What are the external credentials which can be used?

Currently, if we already have a database which has users and it's role. Can we somehow integrate them?

One question though, using JSApi authenticate function, we are required to enter the username and password directly.

Would there be an alternate method, since this allows anybody to view the access information through the java-script in the client-side?

You can pass extended credentials using single sign on.
