BIRT performance Benchmark

I am using BIRT to generate a huge report of 400,000 records which takes as much as 25 minutes. I wonder, if there is any standard benchmark attained for generating a BIRT report, say, of 1000 rows of records from JAVA .

I would like to arrive at, if 10seconds would be a achievable target with MS SQL or MySQL as back-end.
