How to stop report generation depending on certain constraint ?
Hakan
Hi,
We have the problem that we can not from the report parameters decide if a report will load way too much data from the database and that way cause out of memory exceptions.
We would like to implement some kind of call back function that is invoked during the report generation that checks how much memory is still free in the VM and when some specific limit is passed the report generation is aborted and a static page or similar explaining the problem is returned.
Would that be possible ? And/or would it be possible to catch exceptions (for example out of memory exceptions) generated during report generation and in case of an exception return a static or semi-static page to the user that explain the problem ?
Does this make sense ? Or is there some other better way of doing this ?
Thanks,
H?kan
