CannotStartupOSGIPlatform
gavrielkay
I've seen similar posts but no good solutions to this error. One of our customers is getting this even though others are not. Locally I have no issues at all with it. The env is Solaris running WebSphere 7.0.0.17 and BIRT 2.6.1 which is basically integrated into our app by dropping the WebViewerExample app into the main code base. Any ideas?

On 2.6.1 this could be a permission error with the user who is running WS not having write permission to the WEB-INF/platform/configuration directory.

Thanks very much for your reply. We found that permissions were indeed the trouble. The deployment directories were mostly owned by the WebSphere user, but for some unknown reason a few of them were owned by root - including the osgi directory. A recursive ownership change got us up and running again.<br />
